Ray Rodriquez here with WJAM weather. As you can see on the tri-county weather map behind me, there's a storm front moving into the area from the north, which will bring rain tonight and tomorrow, with possible thunder and lightning storms by tomorrow afternoon. After that, this ridge of high pressure air here in the south will blow the rain clouds out; so we should see clearing on Wednesday with partly sunny skies. High temperatures will rise to 70 degrees on Thursday, and next weekend is shaping up to be clear and sunny. Now let's take a look at weather around the state. You can see that the high temperature today is over here in the eastern part of the state, 102 degrees at Wallace Falls. The low is in the north, where the storm front is now -- 52 degrees at Wrightville. It's currently 58 degrees and mostly cloudy in the tri-county area. Expect to see partial sun breaks this afternoon, turning to cloudy skies and showers this evening as the storm front moves in. Winds are currently blowing out of the northeast at a gentle 5 miles per hour. This is meteorologist Ray Rodriquez with WJAM weather. I'll see you again with a new update on the 5 p.m. news.
