e-mail English course overview

Dear English language learner. My name is Torsten Daerr and I'd like to invite you to join me on our email English class. In this course you are going to learn a variety of powerful techniques and methods that help you improve your English. How does it work? It's quite simple: Once you enter your email address and first name into the online form, you will receive an email with a link. Please click on that link to confirm your subscription. As soon as you confirm that you really want to take part in this free email English course, you will get your first email lesson. It contains an overview of the topics covered in the course as well as directions on how to achieve the best results.

Our email English course is for everyone who wants to practise and improve their English. In the first lessons we review a lot of the basics such as the English alphabet, the numbers, simple present and how to create your personal profile. Even if you are an 'intermediate' or 'advanced' English learner, you will learn a lot of new ideas and information such as how to use an Internet forum effectively, how to ask the right questions and how to communicate with native speakers. Because learning English is an ongoing process you should always try and revise what you have already learned. It's pretty much like practising a sport or playing a musical instrument -- you need to do certain exercises on a daily basis so you can constantly improve your skills and raise your level of professionalism. I have been a learner of English since about 1980 and an English language teacher/trainer since 1998. On average my team and I teach about 1000 different people 'face to face' every year and many more through the Internet. All of those people have different levels of English as well as different backgrounds. However, they all have one thing in common: They want to practise and improve their English by trying out new learning techniques. Please remember that it's not important how good or bad your English is right now. What really counts is how good your English will be after you complete our email English course! You can become one of our learners now!

You will receive a new email English lesson every fourth day. In every lesson we explain one or two grammar items, give you learning tips, introduce several interactive exercises and provide you with an MP3 audio recording which comes with the transcript (this means you can listen to and read the text at the same time).

Your email English course also includes a continuing series of highly informative essays on the English language written by our tutor and book author Alan Townend. Those essays are written in a fascinatingly unique style that even appeals to English teachers and native speakers. Alan Townend's materials and contributions ensure that our email English course contains enough materials for upper-intermediate to highly advanced learners and language lovers too.

The email English course is based on two electronic systems -- a) email and b) our Internet forum. This means you will receive email lessons that are written in a conversational and entertaining style leading you to exercises, materials and other resources which you will find on our Internet forum. The forum is very similar to email -- it allows you to read and send messages. However, unlike email the forum allows you to share your ideas and questions with a variety of other English teachers, native speakers and English learners.
