When will you start to speak?

by Torsten Daerr

Dear Friend,

How are things with you today? Do you still want to improve your English speaking skills? If so, you really should read and follow the suggestions in this email. As you remember, in our email last week we talked about the question why it is so important for you to work on your listening comprehension and your 'audio input habits'. By that I mean, you need to surround yourself with English every single day. Go to our website and listen to the free TOEIC based test questions and answer them. Work your way through all the questions and listen to the recording several times until you get all the questions right.

Friend, you certainly understand the close connection between listening and speaking. It's only logical that in order to develop your speaking skills you have to do a lot of listening. Listen to as many resources as possible starting with the recordings on our site. If you have trouble understanding the TOEIC based recordings, use our audio course for beginners, which I introduced to you earlier in our email English course.

Now, if you want to become an effective English speaker, you need to listen to English audio but you also need to practise your speaking skills. And again you will ask yourself: How can I speak English when there is nobody I can speak with? Yes, you probably live in an area where there are no or very few native speakers of English. And those few who do live near you don't have the time to listen and talk to you.

Besides, you are far too shy or inhibited to approach them. So what is the solution? Yes, use the Internet. Use our forum. Our forum is the only one that has a free online voice recorder. This is a powerful tool once you learn how to use it properly. The chances are you don't even know what the online voice recorder is. If so, you really should read and listen to this:
How can I use the online voice recorder?

I understand that it might take you a few minutes to read and understand the text on that page but I can assure you that it's worth your time. So many people want to improve their English speaking skills and they have to pay for it. You have the unique chance to practise your speaking absolutely free! Interestingly enough, when something is free of charge we usually don't appreciate it much. What about you, Friend? When are you going to start improving your English speaking skills with our online voice recorder?
