10) "I want to learn English for my own personal, individual reasons." When you approach the English language from a winner's point of view, you will find that there are many more reasons for learning English than the nine motives I have just suggested. As you explore the breadth of the English language, you will forge a strong connection with the people who speak it. Who knows, you might even fall in love with an English speaker – and then you'll have a very tangible reason indeed for learning the language! Or maybe you will become interested in a new subject or field for which there is very little information in your mother tongue. Whatever your motivation for learning English, make sure you have a clear understanding of what you want to do and why you want to do it. Remember: if you know why you're doing something, it's much easier to discover how you can make it happen.
