The COVID-19 outbreak forced governments to take radical measures in order to slow the spreading of the virus down, that is to flatten the curve. The first measure involved social distancing. People have been expected to reduce their movements, to isolate themselves, and to pay close attention to their personal hygiene. In most countries the schools, the theatres, and the shopping malls closed. Most of the borders have been shut to foreign citizens. Also, a lot of work environments changed. People started working remotely by using different platforms for professional communication and video conferencing, such as Skype, or Zoom. Working remotely has its upsides and its downsides. On one hand it is safer, more flexible, and better for the environment. On the other hand, people miss the team spirit and are less focused and productive.
