You should clean and disinfect your phone, as well as other devices (especially those that come in contact with your face), much more often than you probably do at this time. This is true for any time, not just during a pandemic. Ideally, you should clean your cellphone several times a day. There are special screen and lens cleaning wipes you can buy that contain 70% alcohol and won’t scratch the surface, as well as antibacterial wipes. Although antibacterial wipes don’t really affect viruses the way they affect bacteria, you should remember that viruses are protected by an outer protective lipid layer, which disintegrates in contact with soap or other cleaning agents, and without this layer, the virus cannot function. You can also make your own hand sanitizer out of isopropyl alcohol, glycerol or glycerin, hydrogen peroxide, and distilled water. Mixed in the right amounts, it is best used as a spray, so be sure to put it in a clean spray bottle. The best part is that it is great for usage on electronics - but make sure you spray the wipe with it, then wipe down your gadgets. If you’re a gamer, you can use isopropyl alcohol along with cotton swabs, tooth picks, and cloth to clean your controllers (don’t use water because it could corrode the metal components). Using cotton swabs, remove dirt and grime from in between buttons and beneath thumbsticks, toothpicks are best for picking out dirt from whatever cracks are in the controller’s casing, and in the end, use the cloth to apply your disinfectant all over the surface.
