Human development with a focus on comfort

Comfort, convenience and luxury has always been a key directive in human development. We’ve always sought to gain, more preferably exploit anything that shows any potential of providing us with extra comfort. We’ve enjoyed the benefits of moving in this direction but when you take a look at the price paid to get here it doesn’t seem worth it.
Most of the luxury and comfort we enjoy in developed nations, in the mildest sense is as a result of the highest form of exploitation; man exploiting his fellow man to the point the exploited man is stagnant and begins to regress. This can be observed throughout history with each one staining the human race further.
In the pursuit of comfort and luxury we have lost our humanity. Sadly, most of the human race is still in abject poverty. I think it is time we addressed human development and this time with all humans in mind equally.
