It is safe to say that 2019 ended with a big technological bang. Namely, Google claimed to have invented a new type of quantum computer, able to perform a task in 200 seconds as opposed to the 10,000 years needed for an existing supercomputer to complete the same task. This breakthrough might redefine the world as we know it. In addition, there has been a remarkable progress in the development of “quantum communication networks,” or simply, the quantum internet. It is becoming more and more evident that Google has paved the way into a new era of amazing computer power. The quantum computer will be able to solve problems and complete complex tasks in no time. In terms of the quantum internet, it will be much safer and better synchronized.
