The first AI space robot is called CIMON and it stands for Crew Interactive Mobile Companion. The way you pronounce this robot's name is the same as "Simon". It was created by the European airline, Airbus. This robot has no arms or legs, only motors inside which allow for it to rotate in any direction and move to any place. The first job is to help astronauts with tasks, and the second one is to be a companion which is very tough. CIMON is able to hear, understand and speak. IBM is the company behind the brains of this amazing robot. They have so much experience when it comes to training computers to understand human speech. The way CIMON can answer astronauts is by using its screen to display pictures or documents, if necessary. It also has various cameras which can take pictures and videos to help astronauts keep records of experiments. This project's goal is to give astronauts a companion to share thoughts with on long journeys. This robot can also help people stay calm and make good decisions. CIMON 2 has been improved and is now able to recognize emotions and figure out how people are feeling. It has now been sent to the International Space Station.
