M: Recently I’ve been having problems breathing. It seems to get worse when I’m outdoors exercising. Do you think it is allergies or asthma?
W: It is allergy season but hard to say one way or another until I run some tests. Do you have any history of allergies or asthma in your family?
M: I have slight allergies and I’m not aware of anyone that has asthma in my family.
W: Okay, I’m going to have you make an appointment on your way out for a series of tests that should give me a better idea of what is going on with your breathing. In the meantime, I’m going to recommend you don’t exercise too hard and stop all activity and rest when you feel any shortness of breath.
