There are fire extinguishers in many businesses and homes around the world. These are small, portable items that can discharge a whitish, chemical substance that can smother and snuff out small fires.
It also reminds me of some sentences in the song “The Days of Perly Spencer”, it says “Iron trees smother the air”, “on concrete fields where grows no grass” which is true in most big cities.
